Adult Clogging

Clogging is an energetic percussive form of dance originating from Irish jig, giving a percussive cardio tapping workout. Wear comfortable clothes; tap or clog shoes required. No experience necessary - we usually learn one step per week then steps are repeated. This class is so much fun you will forget that it is exercise!



Hip Hop Fit

A hip hop warm up and workout to music that makes you move. Learn basic dance moves and enjoy freestyle while getting a cardio workout. No dance experience necessary. Come ready to move. Join with a friend or meet new ones. Max. 20.  Register at www.blaineparks.com

Love to Dance but not interested in ‘clubbing’? Zumba is for you! Zumba dancing is for everyone — all shapes and sizes and just about any age too. Zumba allows you to have fun while safely losing pounds and inches. With Zumba dancing the fun comes first, the physical benefits follow. We Welcome everyone interested in joining the party to dance your way to fitness. Why? It is fun even if you think you can’t dance – You do not need a partner to participate – you can let loose and dance like there is no one watching. This specialty course is designed for the active older adult or those just starting their journey to a fit and healthy lifestyle. Zumba Gold is like a basic Zumba class with lower impact. Zumba is a fat burning, body shaping and having a fun workout!

Kettlebell Basics

Kettlebells are the ultimate all-in-one fitness tool promoting strength, cardio, flexibility, and mobility all at the same time with a special emphasis on CORE STRENGTH. This type of training is perfect for those looking for ‘the most out of the least’ thus maximizing workouts and this class is a refreshing break from the normal workout routine. Kettlebells are definitely more challenging but also extremely fun at the same time. Kettlebells develop a lean, strong, and graceful look. You will also become less susceptible to injuries because you are training in all three planes of movement rather than a single plane which most traditional training methods address. You will be introduced to the deadlift, swing, clean and much more. Workouts are performed barefoot; bring a water bottle. Kettle “Belle” Training

This class is designed to introduce fitness using Kettlebells. Become the “belle” of the “ball”. The kettlebell is a cast iron weight looking somewhat like a cannonball with a handle, used to perform ballistic exercises that combine cardiovascular, strength and flexibility training. Anyone looking to get fit can join our 45 minute class. You’ve got to work to get results, but it is so fun you won’t mind! Jump start your day with this empowering hand held gym; it’s a great way to get in a workout between work, kids, errands and housework. Workouts are performed barefoot; bring a water bottle. Have little ones? There ARE options! If you have a non-walker, they are welcome to be in the Kettlebell studio in a car seat, on a blanket, or in a bouncy seat.......ah the options!
