Recreational Class Instructor
Rachel Lux is a recent graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College, where she earned degrees in dance and elementary education, graduating with honors. While at Gustavus, she spent her years as a member of the Apprentice and Gustavus Dance companies, serving as co-president during her senior year. She had many opportunities to perform in student and faculty choreographed concerts, and at venues such as the North Central American Collegiate Dance Association conference, the St. Peter Art Center, and Christ Chapel at Gustavus. She also had the opportunity to choreograph work for many student choreographed concerts and showcases. In 2018, Rachel’s piece, Cast Between, was selected for presentation in the Gustavus faculty choreographed spring dance concert, Falling Toward Beginning. In addition to teaching and creating, Rachel is a member of Grace Upon Grace Sacred Dance Company.
In the studio, she strives to collaborate with her dancers, and focuses on finding artistry and intention in every moment. As a QC Dance alumni, Rachel is thrilled to be back at the very place where her passion for dance and teaching began. In her free time, Rachel enjoys kitting, drinking coffee, and spending time with family and fellow gusties.
