Intro to Dance

A delightful introduction to the art of dance with ballet basics, creative movement, fun with props and tumbling, all in a professional dance setting. Please wear leotard (skirt attached is acceptable if not too long) or exercise/comfortable stretchy attire and ballet slippers. This class is perfect for the child who is comfortable separating from mom or dad.

Mommy & Me / Parent & Tot

Parents and tots enjoy an exercise/activity class together Tots enjoy playful songs, fun props and tumbling. Dads are welcome, too! Our instructor will guide parent and child through exercise and play activities. Please wear comfortable attire and clean tennis shoes or ballet slippers. This class is perfect for children not ready to separate from mom or dad.

Mighty Minis

Tummy Time - Infant Movement Class

This interactive class provides parent/infant bonding during a class filled with music, props and activities. Each infant will participate in stretching, tummy time and more to reach their developmental milestones through play!

Jo Jo Bow Camp

Fairytale Fun

You DO believe in fairies so join friends on a fabulous trip to Neverland, sprinkling pixie dust, wearing wings and waving our magic wands in our Fairy Tale. Story Time With a Twist

Reading is fun and so is wiggling around! Story Time with a Twist is a weekly activity for children of all ages and their caregivers. This fun-filled activity combines storybooks with music, dance, rhymes, instruments, finger plays, and much more! Join us as we explore stories while learning rhythm, musicality, motor skills and verbal skills.

Twirl-to-a-Tea Party

We’ve set our table for fun at this fancy dancing tea party. Dancers will love to be our guest in this Twirl-to-a-Tea-Party dance class. This elegant bash includes dancing, themed craft and activities

Princess / Prince Dance Party

You’re already true royalty at home, so enjoy this camp of crowns, fancy gowns, dazzling dancers and princess/ prince manners. This camp is a Royal introduction to the art of dance with a Princess/ Prince Theme. Students will learn ballet basics, creative movement and participate in majestic crafts – all in a professional dance setting. Tutus for Tots

A beginning level class to introduce young dancers to ballet. Includes Creative Movement, Fun with Props, and ballet basics. Dancers will explore ballet through creative movement, ballet technique and storytelling. Dancers will explore stories of the great ballets.

Ninja Camp

This 4 week camp gives boys and girls the opportunity to practice and learn new ‘ninja’ skills. In this hip hop and acro based camp students will work on stamina, flexibility and ‘trick’ moves focusing on technique. Great for kids who like to run and jump around. Girls and Boys ages 4-7 will enjoy this active camp!

Kids Yoga

Students will learn calming yoga moves used to center and control energy. Yoga moves are age appropriate and incorporate fun names to keep it exciting for kids. Students will work on balance, flexibility and strength while moving and holding different yoga poses. This 4 week class is perfect for both boys and girls ages 3-10

MELODY BEAR™ Mini Camp

Melody Movement introduces children to dance and movement using the natural actions of the body such as running, walking, jumping, hopping, skipping and galloping. It is structured to aid children’s physical development, coordination, spatial awareness, sensory development, creativity and self-expression, working individually, with a partner, or as a group.
Melody Movement also introduces children to other fundamental curriculum learning skills such as counting, colour and shape recognition, vocabulary and language skills. The strength of the system is that learning is achieved through imaginative movement which is enjoyable and fun. Melody Movement provides every child with the opportunity to discover and fulfil their own potential whilst nurturing creative development. Taught by Julie Wadey – certified Melody Bear Curriculum Instructor.

Dance Team Prep & Technique

Everything you need for your school danceteam! Taught by competition dance team coaches, these classes are open to all dancers and all levels. These classes specialize in State‐level danceteam skills including kick stamina, jazz and kick technique and flexibility.

Zumba

Love to Dance? Join the Party! This specialty course is designed for those just starting their journey to a fit and healthy lifestyle or the older active adult. Zumba fitness is for everyone, all shapes and sizes and just about any age. This class allows you to have fun while safely losing pounds and inches. With Zumba, the fun comes first, and the physical benefits follow. Zumba Gold is like a basic Zumba class with lower impact. The class will be a fat burning, body shaping, fun workout! Max 25.

Country Two Step

Country Two Step is a fast, fun partner dance – it’s basically a Swing dance that progresses around the floor. It can be danced to a variety of country music and has endless step combinations.

We will focus on the concepts of lead and follow, the basic Two Step patterns and several fun turns. And, we will learn the choreography to one of the most popular line dances, the Boot Scoot!

No experience necessary!

Beginning Salsa, Merengue and Bachata

Salsa is a fast, sexy and fun dance. It is also extremely popular. You can find a club to Salsa dance most every night of the week. It has origins in Cuba and Puerto Rico, but has many influences from around the world including New York’s 1970’s disco scene. Merengue is the National dance of the Dominican Republic. It is an easy dance with very brisk, quick steps
and hip action. There are several theories as to the origins of the dance, one of which is that the Dominican people honoring a wounded war hero danced with a limp. Bachata also has its origins in the Dominican Republic. It is danced widely all over the world but with many varying styles. The music is romantic with prominent acoustic guitar. In this class we will work on the basics and add fun patterns to all three dances, with the focus on Salsa.

Adult Ballet

Whether you have danced all your life or never set foot in a ballet studio, we will help you release your inner ballerina! We will meet you at your capabilities and encourage you to grow! This class focuses on skills and technique while creating a relaxed environment to enjoy yourself in! Wear something comfortable. Ballet shoes preferred and may be purchased at QC Dance.
