Apparel

Dancers in the Darby’s Dancers program will receive dance and recital apparel free of charge.  Female dancers may choose a leotard (or dance top), dance shorts or skirt, and tights.  Male dancers may choose Darby’s Dancers basketball shorts or sweatpants and will receive a Darby’s Dancers t-shirt. Female and male dancers may also choose one pair of ballet shoes or jazz shoes.

Volunteer Coaches

Each dancer will be paired with a teen volunteer coach during class. The volunteer aspect is an integral aspect of the organization. The special needs dancers may be able to perform the dance steps independently, or they may need more assistance depending on their disability.  The volunteer coach helps the dancer by modeling the dance steps and assisting them in following directions.
